We just got home late last night from a two week trip and I'm amazed at how much my garden has grown! My cilantro and celery are taller than I am and I have tons more green tomatos everywhere. I harvested some beans and turnips and they look great! I should have corn ready to pick in another couple weeks as well. Here are some pictures of what I picked today:

Pretty good start to the summer, especiallly considering the small space I am working with. Hurray for fresh veggies!

I use them pretty much the same as potatoes and often mix them with potatoes. Some of these will be mashed up with potatoes to go with our pot roast tonight and the rest will probably be cubed and roasted alongside some baby potatoes on another night. I was astounded at the size of that one... here's hoping it still tastes good!

ETA: I'm pretty sure you can eat the greens as well, but I just give those to my chickens.

You lucky dog!! Isn't it great to go on vacation during the growing season and come back to EXPLOSION?!?!? That's what we did, too, but only the lettuce is currently edible.
BTW, your pics look like they're out of a gardening magazine!!
