I live on the border of zone 3 and 4 in central MN. We usually begin harvest at the end of July. I got my first raspberries at the beginning of June and in the past two days I've picked two gallons off of 4 plants that are only 3 years old. I picked 4 big cucumbers on the 4th of July. I picked a quart of green beans yesterday. I looked at my banana peppers today and there are some that are way past the size I want them to be for pickling whole. And today I picked some of the best potatoes I have ever seen. Has anyone else had this unexpected luck?

Getting your first ripe tomato by the 4th of July is the event gardeners tend to strive for around here. I had never reached that goal till this year. I'd say my tomatoes are about a month earlier this year. Looks to be the best year for cukes, if current trends continue. Pole beans still aren't blooming. :( If I had planted bush beans, we would be eating a lot by now, most likely.) Oh well.

we are in southwest lower michigan. we have been thru asparagus, zucchini, summer squash, peas, radishes, onion tops. loads of blossoms on beans, tomatoes, cukes, corn is tassling, watermelon about 6-8 inches long. bso far a great garden this year. we have managed to stay ahead of the weeds, even with100 degree heat.

My garden has been soooo slow this year !! I usually harvest most of my veggies as early in April, this year weather pattern has changed, Its been windy almost every day ! I am not getting very many produce this year ! But the last few days, they are starting to come in because of rain ! I also planted some seeds for fall .

I am harvesting great bounties. But I am in zone 6. This is early for me for many crops, but, it seems like it must be very early for your zone. Don't forget you must prune your raspberries after they bear fruit. They bear on year old canes. The ones in fruit now will die back.

I wish there was more to harvest here in July, but the heat pretty much shuts down production for most of my plants. The cherry tomatoes are the exception, they look awful but they just keep pumping out bunches and bunches of ripe tomatoes.
