This may sound like a stupid question but I missed the corn season, my question is has anyone or is it possible to grow corn from seed this time of year or should I wait till next year??? :/

I'm trying that right now. My first crop was about a week from harvest and some critters ate all of it. Chopped it up, tilled the plot and replanted last Monday. I just checked this evening and I have rows of corn popping through.

With the heat we have right now and a bunch of watering it should grow fast, we'll just have to see if we get another crop.

This time I'll use an electric fence around the area.

Where you live, should not be problem to grow sweet corn. Feed corn may have some challenges as I assume you are hot.

You should be good with Sweet Corn, I'm about to do another round of popcorn. My first batch grew quick and is already almost dry! :)

I'm in South Carolina...This is encouraging..thanks. :)

In Oklahoma I was often able to squeeze in a late Summer second corn crop if I was able to get water to it.

Ours are about 10 inches tall and growing like crazy, it seems like we only planted a couple of weeks ago.. When we Put it in the ground we had like 122 days to the first frost and the package said 90 to 110 so we went for it.

Don it's 107 right now this is the 20th day in a row over 100
