Helpful hints for fungus gnat control.

Thanks @jackb I had some fungus gnats when I brought in the potted plant for winter. they are gone now. It looks like I accidently took care of the problem by forgetting to water my plants!

That might do it @Carol Dee ;).

Interesting that there is a relationship between fungus gnats and damping off ..! So, the insects spread the damping off fungus. I wonder if the larvae live on that fungus. It's like being in competition with bugs farming our seed starter mix!

So many "disease" organisms get at our plants from bug attacks.

If a sticky trap goes in every house plant pot, we seem to have very few gnats flying around. There is little damping off in the plant starts each year, and often none. I've just never associated the one with the other ...
