no major flooding here, we did get 4.71" last saturday.
was watching the news last night all that water is still makings it's way down to the ocean many rivers are well passed flood stage.
they said there has been 11 deaths so far, untold property and crop damage, whole poultry and hog farms under water.
this was a bad storm reminds me of floyd back in 99....
talked with my rubber dust person who is out of Kingston,nc , he still has no power/no internet only 1 way in and out of the town the flood waters are going down slowly just minor flooding on his property but the rest of the town is basically under water....
I-40 west bound opened up tuesday, the east bound is still closed. amazing how a foot or two difference in road elevation can shut down a major interstate..
our retread tech was out and his home in newton grove,nc it was almost flooded he said any ore rain and their home would have been under...
one of our people who does mount and dismount his family lives in lumberton,nc they and everyone has left due to the flooding and maybe a week before they can return.
drove to lowes in mebane you could see that the haw river had gone over it's bank by about 10' ..
this storm has been a very hard hitting storm.one person remarked that Matthew made floyd look like a farmers rain..
