Are you 100% back from Texas, Anna?

It's a long way to be betwixt and between ...

We took a July 4th drive near your growing up neighborhood. Our driver hit a bear!

Hi all! I do miss you all! I will do better at plugging into the forums. :)

Maintaining this property alone (the mister is still in TX - ugh) is a bit of a time sucker - especially this time of year, when I want everything to look beautiful. Some things never get crossed off the to-do list, but I do what I can. I haven't put in the veggie garden yet, but I have about 6 yards of wood chips staring at me from behind the shop, waiting!

I did put in a dozen tomato plants and some cucumbers (that the deer ate half of this weekend)... and I'm growing some peppers and zucs in flower beds per usual. And, of course I have lots of patio flowers blooming, and some amazing perennials in the flower beds, too! So, it's not like I've been sitting on my thumbs. HA!

Oh, and the blackberry patch is coming along better this year than last. Took those bare twigs I planted some time to settle in, but this being their second year, I might actually get more than a total of 3 berries off of the 12 cane sites (if again, I can keep the deer off them.) Maybe 3 berries per CANE! :)

Hey SweetMissDaisy! I was just thinking about you! I was wondering where you've been and hoping things were going well for you. Did those hops ever root? If not and you want to try more they are taking over the dog run and devouring small children!

Good to see you!

Hey girlie!! :) You know, not a single hop cutting survived. GAHHH! So, I'm about 0/40 by now... HA! So, I planted a gourd plant on the corner of the chicken yard for this year. It's nowhere big enough to provide any shade yet, though... Maybe by September it'll be big enough to provide some shade. :)
