Wifey has begun to Supervise the a Garden Center at Home Depot. I'm not sure If Home Depot is in every state.
She very much likes doing this and may decide that this is what she will be doing year round.

The Garden Department is 1/4 of the total area and income of this business and she is enjoying making it look and operate exactly right.

While I would like her to just supervise our lives, but she is loving making this center the show place of the Home Depot stores, and building the team who keep it that way.

The people who work there and those who shop there love her, I'm happy for that and maybe a bit jealous of her time away from me.

We have Home Depot here, they are very nice stores. A word of advice to you, let your wife bloom. She has found a place where her talents and expertise is needed and valued, and even better--she gets paid for it. She enjoys what she is doing, so pack her lunch, give her a big hug and tell her you love her as she goes off to work. She needs your support and approval. If you want to be a huge hero in her eyes, help with cooking supper or even have it ready for her once in awhile. I understand that you are torn between being happy for her finding her dream job and your desire to have her all to yourself, but she sounds like a wonderful person and she needs this.

We have Home Depot here too. And Lowe's right beside it in one location. Pretty much the same thing.

I'd enjoy a job like that. There is a farm/market/greenhouse around here that would be my dream job. There's a lot to be said for the privilege to get to do something you love...and get paid for it!

We have a Home Depot here too, they get some very nice plants in, BUT, I don't know about this year I didn't look, other years if you didn't pick up the plants as they were coming off the truck forget it. The were either wilted or suffering from root rot from too much water or crammed together so tightly a lot of broken branches. Valley your H.D. is very lucky to have your wife working for them, I hope they appreciate her.

There are 2 HDs in Vancouver, Wa. . they have quite a bit of a selection of plants, but their prices whent up 50% to 100% over last year. Quality is suspect these days as fully half of the plants decided to die a few days to a few weeks after planting them. Most of the staff knows next to nothing about pants or gardening, as their advice is limited to just reading the label. :duc
