I'm going to start a raised strawberry bed, but I'm a bit confused about how big the bed should be. I need probably 8 qts of berries a week and I'm planning on everbearers. Any ideas?
How big should my strawberry patch be?

Interesting question! I'll be watching to see what people think about production.
I have my 25 everbearers (that's what I started with at least) in a 4x8 bed.
They were planted late spring last year and right now I'm checking several times a day to see if any of those berries are turning red.
Just from my experience so far... I wish they were in a narrower bed as they've sprawled all over with runners criss-crossing. I think there's a reason strawberries are usually grown in *rows*!

So maybe I should think about a narrow, long raised bed for them? maybe 3 feet wide?
