How Do You Use Radish ?

Growing up my mother added sliced raw radish to her salads. That is the only way I remember her using them. I eat out a lot and other then made into flower shape garish, can't think of another use. What uses are there for radish?

many asian dishes use them - I've cooked them, sauteed them, etc. At the 99 cents store, they are of couse 99 cents for a huge bag! So I also munch on them as a flavor burst in my mouth.

i use them in stir-fry dishes. the red leaches out of them a little but they give a good crunch to the pot!

I have a friend who uses them (all kinds of them) in Kim Chi all the time. And I've heard of people using them in many cooking dishes. But we only eat them sliced in salads or munch on them like finger food. We eat tons of the red ones when I plant 'em but they are so cheap at the grocery I'm not sure why I do it.

Dad loved his radishes. Pull them from the garden and wipe MOST of the soil off and eat. I like you have only really eaten them in salads.

Turnips are another food I don't remember my mother ever making.

Again turnips where mostly snacked on raw. No one cared to cook and mash or what ever they do with turnips. Fresh from the garden. YUM

I never found a good use for radishes, but I see that some people are growing them for the seedpods now. Baker Creek (I think) promoted them last year.
