Planted mine April 15, been getting tons of 6 inchers for the last 4 weeks or so, but the last few have been about 4 inches, used BT and only one vine has signs of SVB. I think they are just playing out, but the top or end growth on the vine seems to be still growing strong. Got plenty of time here in 7a for a succession planting. Should I yank'em out. Oh, and I don't remember the variety.

I'm usually ready for my cukes to quit by the time they do, but there is a lot of summer left. Maybe yank half of them out and plant fresh? That way you may have continuous cukes, with no down time.

I've just put in fresh cucumber transplants, @Mauldintiger .

The first ones haven't begun producing ... it's possible that those will go right thru until frost but likely they will play out. My thinking is that backup is a good idea. Last year was the first time I tried a late planting of cukes and it works!

If you have some room elsewhere, you could do as So Lucky suggests. I would not want new plants too close to the old ones, however.
