I think my poor Loquat trees are confused by the ever-changing weather in Florida. They blossomed earlier last year and produced fruit (which the darn squirrels ate the entire crop of off of my two trees the morning before I was going to harvest the trees).

I've seen them blossom again, but I'm not sure if they will produce any fruit this time since we have had a few freezes in the meantime.

I don't know but I love love love a loquat. We had them growing up in Southern Cali and almost every house had a tree. There are a few trees here in South Louisiana but they flavor is not the same.

I doubt thy will fruit again after a frost till they make some new growth. The blossoms form on the new growth. Unless they have a nearby tree few people are familiar with loquats. They don't ship well enough to be sold in the stores. Around here there are a lot of loquat and guava in many yards. The birds plant a lot of them.
