I bought a bus stop off craigslist for 100.00. I know it sounds crazy, but it is a 6x12 aluminum structure, with glass sides. Some people might call this a bus stop- I call it a GREENHOUSE!!!! So, with a few changes and a little ventilation, I will finally have a greenhouse come spring! I knew I would find something eventually- but even with my imagination, I didn't think it would be a bus stop!

Wow, that's neat. I can't wait to see a pic of the finished product. :thumbsup

How many hours do you have to spend on Craigslist to find something cool? I've yet to come across anything worth my while. Maybe it's just my area! :p

I actually bought a house on craigslist, too! I probably (honestly) spend about an hour a day on there. I check morning, lunch time and before bed. Many, many days go by, before I find anything- but then the next thing you know...a bus stop! Very often I find cool things, that are just too far away. I hate to drive very far, for something sight unseen. My dd lives on Long Island- she says there are so many posts you could never keep up. Here in the armpit of the world it is pretty easy to keep up! Keep looking, you'll find something!

Here is a link to the build of my greenhouse. If you go to about post #24 you can see it's location, the end with the doors is west and in this orientation it recieves plenty of sun.
During warm weather I open the doors to keep things from burning up. I haven't opened the roof vents as of now.
Also the trees have grown a bunch of their folage back and that has protected what I have in there now.
I have never used elect. in the thing, but it is available, as is water.
Great find, good luck with getting it ready for the fall.

THANX RICH
