I have become addicted to trees! Went to home depot for paint, came back with no paint and 10 trees. They had marked down all trees. I got Dogwoods, crabapples, Flowering cherry and a willow. Hope they do better then the fruit trees.

It takes a lot of resistance to go thru the flowering season for things like the dogwoods, without sneaking off to get some of your own. The later blooming Cherokee dogwoods are in full bloom around here. They sure are eye-catching!

I don't understand how anyone with any room in the yard at all can not have a crabapple . . . Yes, I know they can make a mess of the lawn but it's better than throwin' beer cans out there! Ain't it?

Don't forget the nut trees, Nyboy! A neighbor has little hazelnut tree that his miserable grapevine has nearly tormented to death. It is a volunteer that showed up in the grape trellis a few years ago but I can remember the parent tree.

Cute little tree, just loaded with tasty hazelnuts during its season!

Steve ;)

Sorry- you won't get any help here! We are all enablers! How lucky you are to have room for 10 trees! I hope you like to dig holes! Let us know how they progress!

Maybe you and husband should get together... he's the one always coming home with trees whether we have room or not!

Several have died, but we've tended to many and out fruit trees he's worked with have done FANTASTICALLY!!!! :D

They'll be peaches and pears to eat here this year! HOORAY!

I hope you're all do well... just pay them extra attention and watering this year. ;)

Sorry, NY, this is definitely not the place to get help with a tree addiction. However, I might make a suggestion - next time you are in Lowe's look for a nice red maple, buy it, and plant it in your yard. Oh gosh! Can you tell I flunked the 12 step program???? (I have a yard full of trees to prove it!) ;)
