Ok, so my first garden bed I used fresh chicken poo in it. It pretty much burned everything. I have since planted 3 more garden beds and things are going well in those. Funny thing, in the bed that I burned everything the green beans are doing extremely well. Weird huh. Anyway, tommorow I am going to pull everything and put new dirt in there and till it under. Do yall think I can plant a new crop of okra or corn in there? Its 8 rows 30 feet long each row. Houston Texas, lots of humidity

I lived in TX for 30+ years and from my experience you have to composte EVERYTHING before you add it to the garden. Everything is too hot to just add to your garden.

Sorry about your loss...especially this late in zone nine's game. Luckily for you, you will be able to garden up until Christmas!! My garden will be dormant by early October. :/
