After I cleaned up the yard the other day, I took some photos. To be my "before" photos of the front yard this year. This morning I got to thinking, it might be fun to see how our gardens change from season to season.

I am not sure what to call such a thead, or where is the best place for it to go.

My thought was, we could start with "before" pictures, then edit them as time progresses putting the newer photos from about the same angle under the "before" photos.

What do you think?

I think that sounds like a lot of fun Rebbetzin :) . I have a brand new garden area that I had a neighbor brush cut and rototill with his tractor last year, and I'm keeping a record of it's development for myself anyway. This would be a good way to keep myself accountable and not slack off on getting it shaped up and planted.

We did our whole property that way....picture journal. It was so bad when we took possession of it, back in 2010. Nobody would have believed us if we hadn't taken pictures.

So, what you are suggesting is that we come back and edit the same picture, Heidi?

Is that it? Our garden will be there thru the season but -- in one post, one picture. They would be our TEG "Digital Photograph Frames" !

That sounds like fun :) !!

If I have 3 gardens again this year . . . I'm allowed 3 photographs, right?

I took DW shopping yesterday and went for a little walk. It isn't uncommon for me to go on this walk - I cross the river on a couple of bridges and note the flow of water at different times of the year. I'm usually just out there with my phone but I got a picture that was from about the same angle as an earlier one. Here, let me show you!

But, instead of 2 photo's - we would each put just 1 on your thread. Then, we'd edit it, every now and then to show how things change thru the season  !

Okay, if I've got the 3 gardens again this year -- I'm in!

Yes, it would be a thread that we would come back and update with photos as the season progress.

But... Where should it go?
And what should be the Title???

Or... could we each have our own subheading under the thread and just leave our pictures up? Say... dormant garden picture, then come back half way thru the season and post another picture under that with the garden growing, then at harvest time, etc etc... I know that this year our garden is going to change a little... we're adding 3 more raised beds (hopefully!!!) and I'm sure that my trees/grapes/etc will look much different this year than they did last year!

Ok, I'll work later tonight on some of the "before" photos for this season. My garden is pretty dismal in the front yard at the moment. It willl make some great "before" photos.
