Identify this beetle..

I recently discovered this beetle the other day, it was funny since i went out to harvest some swiss chard and i brought them inside not knowing there was this beetle hiding. Well when i went to wash the leaves here the beetle comes out .I dont really know what kind of beetle it was so i decided to post pictures of it.

Let me know what you think, i've never seen it around the garden before.
