Love those haircuts in 1957. Those were the days of crew-cuts, flat-tops, and brylcreem.

I tried for the Tony Curtis look ... without the ducktail. Yeah, trying for that debonair look.
The sides were kept short. Top was combed up and forward from both sides. I didn't like it to get very long because it curled on my forehead. It I would have straightened it and allowed it to grow longer, it might have been more like this "modern" style.
Of course, I had to wait like forever before I could grow sideburns! By then, I'd gone through my Buddy Holly style, with new dark-framed glasses and was on to just combing it back, letting hair grow wherever, you know - that hippy look ...

Paul owned the house next to my uncle. You knew the family was staying in that house when a white van was parked in front, his body guards.
