The indoor flower garden is producing quite a few flowers this year, the problem is my four year old granddaughter, Ava, is picking them as soon as they open. Grandma gives her a big hug and kiss for the flowers, but grandma would give her a hug and kiss, anytime, anyway.

You have done a great job. Though your grand daughter plays withe plants but here the plants grown are very nice and beautiful than the other out door grown plants. So looks very much hard work done there and need to continue the good work going.

Oh Jackb, you have the best of both world's! A beautiful granddaughter who loves plants and a great ability to grow just about everything. :)

When I grow up, I want to be just like you! ;)

Thanks Mary. Ava's new idea is to make "rainbow colored flowers" using food dye, so we have started seeds for white carnations. This should be interesting.

Jack, aren't some of those daisy's at the surpermarket dyed? The colors look unnatural. But I think Ava would like them. I just hope she doesn't start wanting to dye chicks too!

Mary,

I don't know about the daisy's, but funny you should mention them. I have two pots of painted daisy's and two of tri-color daisy's going right now. We are waiting to see what they look like. Ava only has a pet goldfish, which I have custody of, so not to worry about coloring chickens.

jackb, you're killing me with those beautiful flowers and grand daughter! Great shot.
This post is from January 2012, and the flowers were grown indoors during the winter. We are now growing several different types of flowers, and of course cucumbers for pickles. We bought a pack of mixed cut flower seeds and we have no idea of what we will get. We call them the mystery flowers. I may need help identifying them when, and if, they flower.
