Instead of waiting until summer to enjoy our favorite pepper, Giant Marconi, I thought I would try to grow one indoors and it turned out to be very easy to grow peppers indoors. The plant has several small peppers set and is literally covered in flowers. It will probably be necessary to limit the number of peppers on the plant to get larger peppers. Photos of the plant today and a giant marconi from last year. I am anxious to see how large they get indoors.

Oh, Jack- you've got me green with envy again! I love those marconi's! I couldn't believe how huge the peppers were, on such small plants. I don't think I am going to plant any other peppers this year....

Whoa!! That"s a monster Jack! Did you grow that outdoors last year, or in your GH?
Seeds might be scarce this year. I had to settle for yellow rather than red.

The Giant Marconi pepper is loaded with peppers. So much so that I will have to start removing some, as I don't think the plant can support all of the peppers that have set. The plant is do dense that some of the peppers are growing upside down, as there is no room for normal growth. This turned out to be one of the easiest plants I have grown indoors, almost like a house plant.

Everytime I see a Jackb post I always know that it will be something incredible. I bet you were the kid who always blew the curve in school. Did I mention my peppers are about 1 1/2" and I thought wow they look great this morning. :bow

I simply got an earlier start. I am sure by the time the season is over you are going to have terrific peppers.

I had to stake the plant as it could never support all the peppers without help.

I hope so, last year my peppers did not produce at all. It was too wet. Cucumbers and squash did great but that was it. I evil racoons got my corn. It was a sad gardening year.
