I am 90% sure these are bad, but don't know why.

Not sure at all, hoping for preditory something though.

This one has the color and pattern of a ladybug beetle, but I don't think that is what it is.

Not sure on this one either, but it is on the squash so hoping for an ally in my war on the squash bug.

All these insects were in my garden this morning, which is in central eastern Oklahoma.

Those last ones are lady bug larvae! I squished one once not knowing what it was. DOH!
I can't really tell with the one that you think looks like a lady bug... but it looks like a lady bug to me!
The one you're hoping is predatory... I never trust any bugs shaped like that and squish them all... LOL
As for the little bugs... I have no idea.

I know what you mean about the shape of a bug, makes me very nervous too, but I decided not to "racially profile" it and give it the benefit of a doubt! lol

If it helps the Chinese lady bugs are more inconsistent in color and spots. It's one of the Chinese one's that were brought here years and years ago. Much more invasive and a nuisance then N. American lady bugs.

Bad news those, those first eggs hatching... STINK BUG LARVAE! UGH!!! I hate stink bugs more then anything. They suck the life out of my tomatoes while they are green and just damage anything they can get their suckers into. The stink, so the chickens won't even eat them. :( Bummer!

The second one, maybe a soldier type beetle?

That "leaf covered in white stuff" is an insect, it's very tiny and I was told last year it was the larva of the ladybug, which it does not appear to be. There are several around the yard/garden, but not in big numbers at all either last year or this year leading me to believe it isn't a pest insect, those usually are in much bigger numbers.
