I need and insect killing/repelling spray for my little sand cherry! There's suddenly lots of holes in the leaves, missing leaves, ect. I do see some new growth at the top, though...Need to save what's left of it!
Anything I can spray on it that lasts a week? I don't want to spray it daily...

I can't find the culprits...lol.
But I did find Saddleback caterpillars....3 of them, they stung me 3 times in the last 2 days....I hate them...Hurts worse than a wasp! I do all my lawn/garden stuff with bare hands and shorts....stinking things hide on the underside of leaves! ugh...lol

Oh, I did found out that the sand cherry is a plant that attracts lots of bad bugs and diseases and shouldn't be anywhere near a garden or lawn where you want to keep your plants....Wish that type of info was commonly listed....

I just googled saddle back caterpillar. I had no idea there were so many stinging caterpillars! Geez! I am amazed I have not been stung by one of these yet. Secuono, this might be a good time to start wearing gloves when you work outside.....just sayin'....;)

You might try spraying your sand cherry with soapy water, then clear water, every couple of days. Also, I have found some tiny tiny "inch-worm" type worms on my cosmos that are wreaking havoc. Eraser sized holes in the petals, and ragged edges. The worms are stiff and straight, about 3/8 of an inch long, playing dead, when I find them, and squash them.

Oh, I hate those things! They like to hang out on the bottom of the corn leaves late in the season. Hurts like a *#&$^!!!
