Interesting article on decline of pollinators

Interesting article. We seem to have a plethora of bumbles here every summer. They show up while it's still quite cool in the spring working the lamium which is about the first of my perennials to bloom, and are still buzzing around into the fall on the Joe Pye and sunflowers. Of course I have no idea what types they are.

That was interesting. Concerned to hear bumblebee populations are declining.

We have a lot of bumblebees - so many the trees "hum" with them when in bloom. Although I don't know what species they are. We've been very thankful for them. We have practically no honeybees.
