I took these photos today in my neighbor's Secret Garden. It is so pretty there this time of year. Irises and red poppies everywhere!

Just lovely- mine are green leaves about 6 inches long, right about now... The waiting begins!

Lovely... I only have 1 yellow iris open out of 20+ fans?! :/

So weird... but I will be patient and there will be more.

Gorgeous!

I hacked away at quite a few iris beds here at our new place. I cut off any viable shoots and planted maybe 200 of them along a hill side. The rest of the shoots I gave away thru Freecycle.

Its gonna be another year before I get any blooms, so I like living vicarously thru your pics!

btw: I went to UofA for Grad school in the 70's. Once I acclimated to the heat, I found the desert beautiful and magical!

I love irises, the pink irises look so pretty i need to get some of those pink irises.
