9am the 13 lbs whole bird went on along with the legs/wings and back of the 12 lbs bird that i bucked up..

between 6 people there was nothing let over of that bird except some dark meat and bones and 2 care packages for our guests. both are friends of ds that are still going to college on a budget..

still have one breast on the smoker that should be coming off very soon, once cool enough into the fridge ,going to put my stretchy pants on and take a nap..... well if i dont make till desert...night night everyone...

That turkey looks amazing Major. I bet it smells out of this world too!

We had Thanksgiving with friends and I had my first turkey made in a deep fryer. It was excellent. Everybody contributed a different dish and it was all outstandingly delicious. We got to bring home a bit of everything, so tomorrows dinner will be a repeat performance.
I used Marys sweet potato recipe and they were very popular.

Home now, sitting in front of the fire, full of that golden glow of good food shared with good friends. :)
