Wanting to grow a few flowering tropical plants this winter that had some fragrance I purchased a few varieties of gardenia and jasmine to grow indoors in a grow tent. The first plant to flower is the Jasminum sambac, Maid of Orleans. Though the flowers are small, they are very fragrant, and there are lots of buds on the plants. When I open the grow tent in the morning there is a very pleasant fragrance to brighten my winter day.

Jack, could you please elaborate on coffee grounds for jasmines? How much and how often for a 4" pot? I have a grand duke of Tuscany that has been fairly weak for about a year and half and needs help.

Many Thanks!

Maid of Orleans is just about my favorite. You've reminded me that I want more of them this year. Have you ever rooted cuttings from a mother plant?

:yaHow-dee, AdaJones!:ya I haven't had the opportunity to greet you until now. I don't know anything about Jasmine other than I want to grow some myself someday.
I expect you will :loveLOVE:love it here on TEG! Don't be a stranger and visit often.
