. post this picture. It's Friday and we have been reflecting on the past.

@Smiles jr put it on TEG, remembering his father, @Smiles :

I miss him, and his son Smiles Jr.
Has it been that long?

I've been wondering lately how @SmilesJr
has been.I know he was going through a tough time recovering from getting rolled over by a bale of hay.

This weekend,

it will be 5 years since @Smiles ' last post.

He and I were probably not all that far apart in age. Smile's interests here on TEG were similar to mine. His humor (and difficulties) were comprehended ...

Thanks Steve , I miss Smiles too. I always found smiling things to send him to use for his Avatar if he liked them. I also still have seed from several varieties of tomato. Black Krim, German Johnson and _____________ ? Dang, I will remember later .

Later..... it is Mortgage Lifters

I love that pic. Thanks for posting it again. I have been thinking about Smiles Jr lately. Sure wish he would check in and let us know how he is getting along.

And also @hoodat. Anyone heard from him lately?

Hoodat made such an important contribution to TEG.

Moving into assisted living was likely the end of his gardening. After about a 6 month break, he said hello and hasn't posted in just over a year.

Gardening is a year-around activity for only a few. Even if it is, it runs in cycles. There is always something new. Tried and true is really hard to come by and if it works for someone, chances are that different gardeners in different locations won't find those things useful, some will.

What I'm saying is that remembered experiences are worth sharing - remembered from last week, last season, a decade ago :). I wish that those who have stopped gardening for a time would continue feeling comfortable sharing on TEG.

I like to think that many continue to check on what is going on here. It's comforting, don't you know?

Steve :)
