Large Milkweed bug - I got 'em!

I found a TON of these on the Butterfly milkweed in the front flower beds this weekend. I recall them being there last year so I guess they do not real damage.

i've seen them on a few different plants here, but nothing
seems to be damaged. in reading the wiki article it says they
mostly eat the seeds of the milkweed and a few other plants
so that's ok with me...

They just had a question on Mid American Gardener about this, and yes, don't worry about them. The milkweed seeds are their natural food. Plant more milkweed next year!
Btw, I have no milkweed or butterfly bushes, but I still attract monarch's. I Think it's the flowers on the some of the weeds I am fighting. :th

They just had a question on Mid American Gardener about this, and yes, don't worry about them. The milkweed seeds are their natural food. Plant more milkweed next year!

as adults Monarch's are nectar feeders. :)
