question have noticed that moss is starting to take over parts of the lawn.

have done some research but would like your input on any solutions that you may have come across..

Moss? Hmmmm..... Doesn't moss grow in damp places? Use a paint stripping heat gun maybe? Hahaha

Drainage. How's the drainage on that section? We have been getting plenty of rain down here in SC....and I see moss popping up here and there on our 1 acre.

thinking it's more towards having carolina clay which is 5-12" deep so it;s poor drainage , but also have spots in full sun that are growing...
last year tried in test spots
calcium .nope
iron sulphate..so so
ironrite... worked better but it's still there.
nuclear warhead..got shoot down on borrowing one my credit rating is only 750

dw loves it...grrrrr but 3 acres of it

I have that problem in one spot. It did get better when I added lime even though its cause is supposed to be a mixture of poor air circulation, dampness, and shade.

Since then, I have taken care of all three issues, but have moss growing there again three years after adding the lime. Time for lime again, I guess.
