Is it better to snip off all the eaten leaves,or just leave them?

Jap beetles are devoring my grape plant leaves.I pick them off a few times a day,but they still are doing a lot of damage.

I figured I would removed the really bad leaves, but the ones with just a bit of damage would be better off staying on the plant right?

No no, don't pick any leaves off. THe plant is still getting a goodly amount of benefit from them -- by removing them you are removing their usefulness!

The only time you'd remove leaves is if they've got a contagious disease (like something fungal) that you don't want spreading further.

Good luck, have fun,

Guineas are good at eating up Japanese beetles. Chickens probably would too, but I would have them do the debugging before you had noticeable fruit, so they don't help themselves to some of it.
