Infuse olive oil
I take and line a baking pan with basil sometimes to bake chicken. I bet lemon basil would be even better.
I would think you could use it in any tomato dish. Broiled tomatos with some oregano and basil on top.
Use it as a room air freshener. potpourri style.

Yes you can save the seeds.

After growing a lot of different basils, I've come to think of them as falling into 2 groups for use in the kitchen. Now, keep in mind that I'm not the most imaginative or informed cook ;).

The sweet Italian basils are for tomato sauces - mostly, spaghetti.

The Oriental basils are for beef noodle soup - sometimes with bean sprouts and just before serving.

Both can be used on top a nice salmon fillet baked in the oven.

I put the lemon basil in the Oriental basil group. (Interesting about using basil as a rub for barbecue. :))

I love RUBS for BBQ.

I also have suggest a lemon butter sauce with the lemon basil for Salmon or Tuna Fillets....

OH, or my mom makes a great Turkey piccata with a lemon caper sauce. Those basil leaves chopped in that sauce would be great... or Deep fried the leaves and get them crispy, use them as an edible decoration for a fish or chicken dish.

Maybe add them to a stuffing or serve them in a citrus salad with breakfast!!!

I got ideas if you need more :)

I got recipes too. :gig

I kinda like to hear more about deep frying the leaves. That sounds interesting. Hot oil and very quick I am thinking?

You can lightly flour the leaves after dipping in an ice cold water and egg white bath or raw as is. Real quick in the hot oil.... maybe 30 seconds.

You can add lemon basil or sweet basil to your salad, it taste good

Asian people believe if you eat lemon basil, you won't have body odor

for roasting chicken, I use lemon basil, thai basil, indian basil, sweet basil, spicy globe basil and lemon grass, I put all together inside chicken cavity.

It is great with fish dishes especially with lots of grated ginger, garlic & very hot chillies.

I also like it on really ripe strawberries, sprinkled with a little balsamic vinegar & black pepper!! :ep I know it sounds strange but it is truly delicious TRY IT! :love
