lettuce seeds???

This is the first year that I've planted lettuce and had it actually GROW! But, then it bolted before I got much of it. I thought that I might as well just let it go and collect seeds. How, exactly do I do that????
Here it is, happily turning into a bush under a tomato plant.

Just let them mature on the plant until the seedpods dry out. Then collect them.

Probably. ? I imagine that people could except that the leaves suddenly got little spiny stickers on the backs.
I pulled up all of my spinach - seed stalks and all - and used a bunch in some coconut curry chicken.

Bolted lettuce turns bitter so it's not good for human consumption. I give it to my chickens so perhaps it's safe for your bunnies?
