I am so mad, I hate living in Minnesota! Its June 3rd and we had frost last night! And yesterday ALL of my seed had officially germinated in the garden...

The babies didnt LOOK damaged, but really how much later in the summer can it freeze for gosh sakes!?!

It is discouraging! We had frost Sunday night and it snowed up north from here... Will summer ever get here? I covered a lot of my plants- but the frost strangely was mostly on the grass. Thank you, thank you! None of my plants died- but boy do they need some warm temps! Still waiting for summer....

Just emerging seedlings actually seem tougher than slightly older plants. Of course, they are closer to the ground. Don't trust anything I say, however! Piling something on top of them like grass clippings should save 'em!

First of all, it isn't summer until June 21st. These other folks with 90 degree temps, are just mistaken, that's all there is to it . . .

I think that we may be out of any frost danger here. It is unseasonably warm - as much as 15F above normal. However, I've gotten into deep trouble when June has turned out cold, cloudy, wet, and windy - after a warm end-of-May :(.

I always keep extra bean seeds on hand in case anything is lost ;). I can get away with planting green beans well into July and still have a harvest before the major cool-down in September :p.
