That looks great, cat! How long do you think it will take the pineapple to mature? I have never had the patience (or room) to keep one long enough to fruit.

If I remember correctly around 8 months from bloom set. You can cut off a pineapple top from the grocery store, dry it a bit, put it on the soil, keep in moist, and be patient. I had one eaten one summer, I was just about to pick and eat, when I came outside one morning and saw a big chuck taken out of it. I left it and the next night it was pretty much finished off. Judging by the size off the bite I figure it was a deer. After I eat this one I will add the top to my bucket of plants. I have kept it going for around 17 years. Not hard-just a lot of patience.
