Loss My Keys

What a morning luckily I give myself enough time to handle any problems before work. I showered got dressed, feed my dogs was ready to leave. Walking out the door I grabbed for my wallet and keys,95% they are in a bowl by door. This morning only my wallet was in bowl. I looked everywhere for keys. I do have a spare set but they are at work. Every morning I pick up one of my guys who lost their license. I called a taxi to take me to kennel had him wait. I opened a window and climbed in, once I opened window alarm went off by time I got my fat ass in window and ran to key pad it was to late I needed to call ADT and give my safe word. If cops where called I would have been fined $100. I then had taxi drive me back to my house I used spare key and picked my guy up on time. Need to find my keys spare only has car and work key. Because of break in at country house it is locked up like Ft Knox. How much extra time do you give yourself before work?

That was SOME morning! I'd have been a wreck by the time it all got worked out.

It doesn't seem to matter HOW much extra time I allow, something always happens to use it up.

when i was at the university i was on flex time. but i'm always punctual or early if on a schedule. at the part-time library job i was never late or absent. the last boss actually got mad at us if we punched in early.

i usually carry two sets of keys. only time i didn't i left my car running in the car wash and had to call someone to come unlock it. i knew i didn't have the extra key and told myself to not lock the door when i closed it, but out of habit i did anyway and when i pushed the door to close i said "Nooo!", but too late to catch it. hahaha... $35 lesson.

I made extra set of keys....and buried one set in a garden plug made just for keys.

I locked myself out of both buildings here when we first moved in. Out in the country. Didn't know the neighbors. Didn't have a bathroom. Didn't have any keys to drive anywhere. Ooops.
So, I remembered one of the windows in the back was unable to be locked...so I grabbed the step ladder I was using, hauled myself inside the window, and fixed the problem.

Yeah. A spare set of keys. Make that 2

I have an extra key for the car in my wallet and a key in a hide-a-key hidden on the pickup.

I've told this story before: for 1 year, when I was 3 & 4, we lived with my grandmother. A gardener, she had a stack of plant trays beside her door. In like, the 3rd tray down and between 2 clay pots was her spare key for the door.

I still remember that and I do somewhat the same thing .

I once locked my keys, purse and cell phone in my car. Stopped to run an errand before work. Thankfully only 2 blocks from work and was early enough to walk to work, have a co worker take me home for my spare keys (Thank goodness house was not locked ) then back to get car and park it at work ON TIME!
