Gotta love Lowes. I visit them every couple of weeks just to see what they have on clearance. They always got some nice stuff. Like this week I got

Knock out roses yellow for 5
Oriental lilies for 2 buck (oh and I need help on when to plant them)
Garilla (blanket flower) for 1
chinese snow ball shrub for 5

the Garilla I know can be started from seed but I am not so good at seeds and I really like the all ready big and don't have to take care of it thing.

The roses are just a screaming deal. I paid 30 bucks for 1 double pink knock out but I can deal with yellow.

the snow ball was in my book " Easy gardens for the south" and is rated a blue ribbon plant for ease and low maintenance and water requirements. That book is like my bible. If it aint in the book I aint going to buy it!

The lilies are absolutely gorgeous. I got 4 of them. each container has 2-3 stems. So I want them to make it. So let me know what you think and

We've gotten some of our best planting deals from Lowes. Last year I picked up a bunch of lilies on the cheap. I just planted them when I got them home. This year they look wonderful. I also picked up some purple salvia type perenials for $.50 a pot. They have absolutely taken over the area where they were planted. A few years ago my hubby came home with 7 balled in burlap trees that he got for 90% off, making them about $10 each. A little TLC and they took off, until the goats decided they liked the bark to eat and rub. OOOPS. I'll never live that down, of course the trees didn't survive that.
