Fire roasted the highlanders

Today’s canning ....
5 qts cinnamon mator sauce
11 jelly jars roasted peppers

Somebody missed a cucumber lol

Enzo is utterly adorable... and some nice things put up there too...

Dd other cat passed Away a couple months ago her aunt give her Enzo thing maybe weighs 5 pounds and super friendly still Leary of the dogs.

Goodness those gourds are giving you a run for sure. How are they looking now? We had some more pop up this year unexpectedly from last year, and they just started to bloom. You're going to have a bunch of birdhouses out there!

Best I can tell the vines have reached 50’ when I was home last did see quite a few nice gourds hanging, will get a count once home this weekend.

Will be fun to make some birdhouses this winter out of them..

Y'all dehydrate watermelon? Tell me more. We have volunteer watermelons in last year's pig pen where we tossed rinds over the fence to the hogs. Naturally they will all ripen at one time. What temps do you set the dehydrator on and for how long?

Dw dryed the melon on low ( orange if you have a Excalibur dryer) and started to test dryness after 24 hours she said it was 26 hours...

She had a couple pieces according to her it is super sweet and tastes like a watermelon Jolly Rancher...

7/21/18 update....
pulled the cantaloupe of course the dw pulled the corn,while out there tilled it up, hoping to get more corn in tomorrow depending on weather..

speaking of corn round 2 is doing fine not getting very tall a couple are starting to tasill...

and everyone one has 1 to 4 suckers...

theres 15 watermelons ready to pick....

here in the south this is how we grow square watermelons.. be interesting to see the outcome...

the highlander peppers...looking forward to stuffing a few while home..

bell peppers starting to turn red... they finally got they act together all of the plants are loaded..

orca beans ready to come in and shell

the lazy housewifes, are just slapped loaded..

and the goji berries...they are ready to be picked and put in the dryer.. @Nyboy leave the berry picking to professionals.. i like my friends.

part 2...
the birdhouse gourds.. only planted 2 seeds, as of now have 15 lots of flowers still.
once home found out that i had powdery mildew, drove to tractor supply and picked up some copper fungicide had it on the gourds and mators.. hope i can win this battle..

todays mator picking.. dw pick some early the forcast for the next 4 days is rain...

In our area there are several people selling "colon cleans " ... why pay money when you can do it for free by eating just a few berries ...
