earlier this week looked at the weather for this weekend, told the dw a pot of beef stew sounds good, so put a chuck roast on the shopping list board...

got off early today once home dw was getting ready to go out shopping, went to the bank, went to wally world, went to harris teeter, went to food lion, went to advance auto, put fuel in the car and back home.

once home dw was putting away the groceries, she went back out to the car came back in...what are you looking for?.....
the chuck roast .....
didnt you pick that up the other day?...
no....

guess we are having a pot of vegan beef stew then... we both had a good chuckle ..... so much for putting things on the shopping list board.....

so back to food lion picked up a nice big roast in the mangers section....got into the car and put the roast in her lap, dw looked at me.....honey dont want you to lose it between here and home... we laughed all the way home...

Just when you had your mouth set on it too. Good you went back. It's Friday, not meatless-Monday. I've done that, pulling roasts from the freezer in the basement, put them in the full clothes basket to carry upstairs and have set it down and forgotten it until the next day. I cooked it anyway! We are all still alive... :p

Whenever I can't find my dish towel, I look everywhere even the freezer!

Today Mom found a can of Raid in the food cupboard, said she couldn't figure out how that got there. She's been putting things in very odd places lately and I'm lucky if I can find anything nowadays after she does the dishes.

She loses things and goes on a desperate search at least once every two weeks now...does " I just HAD it in my hand!!!" sound familiar? :D

That's EXACTLY how she acts when she loses something! Like I must have taken it and placed it elsewhere, or else she would be able to find it.

This past week she kept telling me over and over about all the fly swatters "walking off" to parts unknown and how she keeps buying them and they keep disappearing~I guess implying that SOMEONE who will not be mentioned keeps taking the fly swatters! She's fly obsessed, so never rests if she sees one in the house...she follows it from room to room until she gets it, then lays that swatter down somewhere strange and can't find it later. o_O

Growing old can be so much fun....

senior brainfart strikes again, the other week purchased a sheet of particleboard and 2 15 amp receptacles.. got the receipt to prove it... and yes remember putting the bag in the truck...
last sunday decided to build the power distribution system for the grow table. found all the necessary components, except the receptacles searched high and low all over the house, the barn, the truck, junk room.. they vanished... who knows where they are...went to tractor supply and bought 2 more and finished it..

just hate when you buy something and it grows legs....grrrrr they will show up next spring in a real stupid spot...

My Grandmother, who passed at 100.5, had a "robber" who constantly stole things from her senior center tiny apt. My Mother and Aunt used to be alarmed until they realized that Grandmother either hid the items or tossed them down the trash chute.

Now Mother, who will be 88 this Friday, is losing things. More than normal! I asked her if she had a robber that now comes and goes at her townhouse. She said she hopes not....
