Making pickles - cukes have damaged skin

Some kind of bug got to my cukes, and left little marks all over them. It did not eat all the way thru the skin, but left little brown trails all over it. Can I still make pickles with these cukes? Can I peel them & still make pickles? Help please!

I cut around imperfections in my harvests. If you're not sure, cut it out and taste it--you're gonna eat it later, anyway.

Oh, I always do that with veggies I eat. No sense in throwing away a perfectly good cuke for a couple of spots! I just didn't know if it would .affect pickling them in any way.

Make refrigerator pickles instead of canned pickles. You peel the refrigerator pickles normally anyway.

I think that is what I would also, I used to try to trip "bad" spots on mine, and I think they got soft.
