Maybe a Rude Raccoon?

I went out on my front porch to check the plants this morning and found that some animal had gotten up in one of the wicker chairs and pooped on the cushion. It looked a little like cat poop, but not exactly. I don't think a stray cat would poop on my chair when there is a huge yard with dry dirt to use, do you? I checked on the net for pics of raccoon scat, and it sort of looks like those. But that seems kind of bold even for a raccoon. I don't think I have made any animals mad lately....Any ideas on what else it could be?
The chickens have been known to get up in the chairs but it definitely was not chicken poop.

We have racoons here and in over 30 years I've never seen their poop. So I find it highly unlikely that they would do it in your chair. But I'm like you, what else could it be?

Raccoons have some nasty roundworms that are zoonotic to humans. Shoot him, preferably off the deck. There's some that come around here trying to get my chickens, but our Great Pyrenees won't let them in the yard.

I wondered about that, but the pictures I found say possum poop is larger, and seem dryer than my "gift." It was kind of wet, not dry like healthy cat or dog poop is. I guess it could have been a juvenile possum.

how about toad? they seem to leave a large poop that can sometimes be about 2" long and about 1/2" in diameter. if they found a nice night time area with a little light to attract bugs they would certainly jump to any height they could to get those bugs. in my area we have very large toads and occasionally the grey tree frogs will get close to the house if they find a good location for food.

I do think it was a raccoon. They have a nasty habit of leaving scat in strange places. On top of wood piles, tree stumps, etc... What I have seen is usually pretty dark.

Bay is right when I was a teenager, I worked at a shelter a baby raccoon came in. His mother was killed by a car, I had to bottle feed him. I sent a stool smaple to vet , came back roundworms, so we wormed him. The next morning I couldn't believe his cage, it was covered in roundworms, don't know how many could fit in his tiny body.
