Beware anyone promoting a low-fat vegetarian diet. While a vegetarian diet CAN be perfectly healthy, a low fat diet is a nutritional disaster.

I have seen way too much "selective history" being used as a tool to promote a specific food agenda.

Hey fat is good for you! As soon as I figure a way to amass more of a fortune, I am going to find out where I can buy some LARD. :sick NO, I am not kidding.....where do you think all that flavor went to? Whoo...ya! :p

I have also read more about deep-frying. Good oil, the right temperature....and do it fast to seal in the flavor and not let the fat be absorbed into the product. Just like Ma use to make. :thumbsup

After that, I am goin to wipe my chin on teh left sleeve, I am goin out into the back forty with da mules and plough the fields. :weee

No fat problems here. :coolsun

Tortillas just aren't right unless they're made with manteca (lard)

Yum manteca. I save all my pork fat cause pork fat is good fat. And I use it (mostly bacon) to flavor anything. I tsp on bacon fat is only 3 weight watcher points. So it is something I can have for flavor.
