Love, love, love them! My first yellow one is opening, as we speak. Not many flowers that offer that much color and fun- for so little effort! And on sale, even better!

How can anything so beautiful remind folks of funerals? Those were Dad's favorite flower and I always have to grow a few.
I think they are my MIL favorites, too. So I will take her some. Since they all grew have plenty to share. :)

Carol, were they a mixed bag? I love the colors, nice and strong. We never have good sales like you guys do. I love a good sale/deal. So what was the regular price and what was the sale price? Is Menards a grocery store? Our grocery stores never carry bulbs. :(

@ninnymary Would you believe Menards is a BIG chain hardware store. They are now a super store and carry groceries and have a nursery in season. There is not much you can't find there. (Including mens undergarments i.e. socks, t-shirts, briefs and coats.) If I remember right they had bags of assorted and bags of all the same color. I think I bought one bag of assorted and one of all purple. If memory is right (That does not happen too often.) There where 25 (or more) in each bag. Buy one get one 1/2 off. About $6 or $7 per bag.

Menards is a home improvement chain store that is based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The glads were in mesh bags earlier in the spring at 25 for $5.99. I missed out on the half-price sale, but I did get one mixed bag.

I love glads. I can remember when I was a small child, my mother grew them. I bought a bulb planter at Lowes. Catalogs I'm getting now have fantastic sales on bulbs. Gotta get some glads....

The catalogs (in the north) don't have glads in them. They need to be properly stored over the winter for later spring planting. Most of the catalogs are for fall planted bulbs. Since you're warm weather, glads just might be there. They will over winter in zone 7 and above. Zone 6 with mulch and/or warmer winter.
