MERCURY RISING

So I hear on the radio that today between 7:30 and 2:00 Mercury will be passing between us and the sun.
It's supposed to be a tiny black dot.
I haven't figured out yet how to see it without looking at the sun...

Put on a welder's hat and enjoy the view of Mercury's trip across the Sun.

I find for things like that the nightly news is the best way to see it.
