Miss Ava's first dance

Ava's school had a father daughter dance on Friday night and I thought I'd share her photo. I think this is the first photo ever where her hair does not resemble a fright wig.

She is growing up so quickly it takes my breath away.

She will be nine in June. Where did the years go?

She's about the same age as one of my grand daughters. It's a wonderful age. Girls are still on top of the world at that age, before puberty, uncertainty, compromise and limitations set in. I hope this generation of little girls gets to keep their spunk!

I bet she had a great time with her daddy!

My, how lovely. Her father is going to be fighting off the boys.

On the other hand, I hear compost is compost and the 'bad' boys make excellent compost.

She is lovely Jack. You are right, where did that tiny toddler go? Our grand daughter will be 9 in June too. I thought we'd have her until 11 0r 12, but already she is in a social whirl. LOL
