This is only the 2nd picking. I put up 12 quarts with the 1st picking. I put up 9 quarts tonight and have MORE than those to do tomorrow. And many almost ripe on the vine. I TOLD DH he planted too many! Both times they have been ready he has been out of town.

Seems to me, your DH's timing is a bit suspicious... Those tomatoes look so good!

That is a HAUL!!!! Congrats on the super successful harvest.

I've put up a bunch of just plain diced tomatoes & onions to use later in the year. But last night I canned 6 pints of bruschetta
I can't wait to try it.

So far I have only put up diced tomatoes in the freezer. Running out of room, I may have to get the canner out. (Now that it is nearing 100 degrees.) ugh

@Carol Dee I'm jealous! That's a wonderful crop! The thought that your DH may have planned his departure this way did cross my mind... ;) If it's hot and dry by you now try to sun dry some?

@Carol Dee those tomatoes look terribly rotten to me. Better ship them to TEXAS so you don't get sick from eating them! I am sure I can find something to do with them......

Really, those are some bodacious tomatoes! Beautiful! If you don't have a dehydrator, you should get one, I love mine! But I didn't get enough garden to even turn it on this year. :( Dehydrated tomatoes make a good snack, are great to cook with, are yummy crumbled up on salads.....
