i've finally found a sure fire way to get practically 100% sprouting from morning glories. i've always soaked them over night, nicked the seed - with poor results. this time i put the seeds in single layer in a very damp wash cloth on a plate. wet enough i could wring a little water out if i tried. waited two days with them on the kitchen counter - all sprouted. i've transferred them to peat pots & will put the pots directly in the ground cuz i know they don't like their little roots disturbed.
now that i've got it figured out - i'm going to get some moon flower seeds going. i have always wanted moon flower with no success - i think i might make it happen this year. :)

Yes, with moonflower, you can nick or sand the seed a little. They are tough, but that and soaking for a bit should do the trick. They would be great for around a hot tub.
