I'm always moving things around and these tulips were in the way. So I moved them so that I could plant my corral bells. I could feel the bud at the base of the flower but couldn't really see it. They survived just fine.

Behind the multi-asian pear is where I want to plant a daphne.

Very pretty garden Mary. :)
I'm glad they went on and bloomed for you, plants are a lot of times more resilient than we think.
Last spring, or was it the spring before?....anyway I found a bag of tulip bulbs I forgot to plant the previous fall and just sort of stuffed them in the ground, figuring it was at least good for my conscience. They grew and bloomed!

Is that the bed you're going to plant a daphne in?

Thistle, read above the picture. Yes, that's where I want a daphne. This week I'm watching a former student for 3 days. She's on spring break and one of my favorites. Not only do I get to enjoy her but I'm earning extra money for that daphne and other plants! I'm soooo excited for this coming weekend when I get to go shopping! :)

Lovely garden! I can almost remember what spring is like... Almost. We had blowing snow all day, and I shoveled again this morning. Oh tulips. how I long for you!

That's awful! I'm so sorry :( .
Our springs seem to be reversed from last year. I was the one shoveling snow in April last year, and you were outside planting tomatoes!

What's that saying? Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it....

Strange isn't it... last year really was too warm for us. The fruit trees suffered. Looks like one more day of winter, then sunny and 50's on Thursday. Go figure? Believe me, if there were something I could do about the weather-I would be right on it!!

That's really beautiful NinnyMary. I love all the Coral Bells. What are the pieces of chicken wire protecting? Trying to make it out with my ole eyes...

Marshall, the wire is to keep cats from pooping in there! The bed is not fully planted yet, so there is a lot of bare dirt for those darn cats!
