We had a weekend in the 40s. Lots of melted snow = mud. Why when the yard is muddly my dogs need to go out 3x as much. I have 4 dogs thats 16 muddly feet running around my house.

:hugs 3 dogs here - and you are sooo right!
I'm working on teaching mine to sit on the mat inside the door while their feet get dried. Of course, along with that goes teaching them to come on one at a time... to not throw themselves against the door while waiting their turn... to not scream as if I've wrenched a foot off if I dip it in a cup of water (for REALLY NASTY MUDDY feet).....
The shelti mix came in so nasty the other day that we went straight through the utility room into the bathroom and into the shower, it wasn't even worth trying to towel him off since he was COVERED in mud from nose to toes.

My backyard is squishy gook. I have resigned myself to pawprints the same way I have resigned myself to piles of hair. I sweep every day, brush them, furminator them.........they should be bald and naked.

Thanks for seeing the silver lining lesa. I'll keep that in mind while we mop the floors 10 times per day lol.

Not quite. Around here spring is a major tease. We have muddy thaws followed by snow and cold several times before the spring mud is for real. Today the dog found plenty of mud to play in while DH and I scraped 1 1/2 inches of ice off the driveway in preparation for our next expected weather 'event' predicted for Tuesday and Wednesday. This is not a sign of spring in Wisconsin.

On the other hand, yesterday was the first time this year that the sun room smelled spring-y. Gosh, I love that smell!

Love, Smart Red

You may have seen this. It has been around as something like "2 dogs; different experience."

:)

Bonzo, the grandpuppy, is as black as coal. Good thing because DW makes me sponge her down often enuf. All 6 pounds of the shivering lil' thing who climbs on me because she think she's done something wrong.
