So I had my Mulberry tree trimmed up, badly at that....since they were under power lines...ugh!

Have a TON of very nice 1/2-2in thick and 5-20ft tall branches. They are all new shoots that grew straight up after the last homeowner had the tree first butchered...

Stuck 29 of them in the ground the last two days. I'll continue to stick more and more in the ground. Tiny ones will be given to the rabbits to eat and then some I am hoping to sell for a few bucks. So if you're interested, local or want me to ship you 1-2ft cuttings, PM me!

Going to sell some of them I plant in 2yrs when they have nice roots. Others I'll transplant around the property and others will be used to make fodder for the goats, sheep and rabbits.

The berries my mom and sister like, pigs and chickens also love them. Me? Not so much...lol.

Anyone else doing this?

I spend more of my time weeding those seedlings out of my garden than any other tree. Then again, the mulberries might be tied with hemlock seedlings. Never would have occurred to me to grow them on purpose.

Sec! I missed ya!

That sounds like a great plan.

Oh, you can mix Mulberries with Raspberries or Blackberries for things like pies or jellies or ice cream.

I like mulberries. Make crisps and jellies with them. Never occurred to me to blend them.....

Yea. It's really good! I hope my berry patch makes even more next year! Especially the Logans and Tays and dews and fall golds! But it's nice how productive the Burbank thornless are. Been a looong time since i had a mixed pie of mulberry and blackberry! real good.
