I got them last year from a friend, they were in a pot, on their last legs!! I put them in the ground and babied them all summer. This was their reward to me!!

Lovely! It is always extra special when you are able to bring a plant back from the edge and be rewarded with such lovely flowers. I love yellow mums they brighten up this time of year when everything else is winding down. :rainbow-sun :love

Pretty!

Yeah for the Desert this is the time to put out most of your Spring bloomers.

This is a perfect time to start California Poppies, Shirley Poppies, Bachelor Buttons, Calundula, and Salvia to name a few.

My biggest problem is keeping the leaves out of the beds so my seedlings will have plenty of sunlight over the winter months as they grow.

Good for you ducks! Here in zone 4, it is recommended that you cut them back, once in the summer- to avoid legginess... Enjoy!

I planted a few clearance mums last winter. they survived the winter and are putting on new growth but not flowering. I though they only flower in the fall?
