Mums

Lowes has some small plants for $1.50 in some colors I don't have. Is it too late to buy and plant. If they can survive the winter, then I could split next spring/summer.

Make sure they are a hardy mum- that will make it through the winter. If they are and they do, it is a good idea to trim them back a couple inches in early summer. This way they won't get too tall and leggy. At that price, I'd say it is a risk worth taking!
